Who Goes First In The 2016 NFL Draft?
Monday, February 15th, 2016This is a guest post from Robert Harris of NFL Wonderlic Test Scores.
With the Super Bowl out of the way the next major news item for the NFL is definitely going to be the upcoming draft. Unlike a few of the previous drafts there seems to be far more uncertainty at the top of the first round. Just take a look at the QB position right now, which many draft experts have North Dakota State signal caller Carson Wentz.
Without that “can’t miss” number one pick, it would seem the top picks are going to be very much need oriented, and may lead to some moves near the top of the first round as several teams may be able to fill their need further down in the round. As it stands right now, Tennessee will likely draft an offensive lineman with the first pick as the line has been a major source of trouble in recent seasons. To prove that point, Tennessee has been burning through top picks at quarterback and watching them fall prey to injuries. First it was Jake Locker and last year’s top pick Marcus Mariota also spent much of his rookie season injured. They can’t continue tying this much money up in quarterbacks and not being able to protect them. That’s just bad business.
NFL Wonderlic Scores By Position

Of course, these are supposed to be kept secret, but one way or another many scores leak out each year and pundits share their thoughts on the relative smarts or lack thereof of that season’s draft crop. While it’s been shown often over the years that Wonderlic scores have little or no correlation to on field performance, it’s still an interesting piece of data if only because every arm chair quarterback can get an idea of how they stack up to a pro athlete in at least one (potentially) measurable aspect. If you want to get an idea of how you score compared to the pros, there are any number of unofficial tests online that will give you an idea of how you’d do, like this one at wonderlictestsample.com. Importance of College Football to Our Troops
Wednesday, November 7th, 2012With pastimes and hobbies being limited overseas for our dedicated troops, there remains one constant, strong interest for all troops: college football. One of the most popular items sent in care packages for soldiers from fellow Americans safe at home are footballs. This surely has to say something for how passionate these men are about one of America’s favorite pass times.
When one watches the masses of people that assemble for rivalry college football games and, on a larger scale, the gargantuan crowd that appears for the Super Bowl, it’s hard to imagine that the sport of football began in small, elite colleges, making the sport virtually unknown to the rest of the United States. Amazingly enough, it is almost solely due to the armed forces that football has attracted so talented athletes, dedicated fans and gained, tremendous overall success.
