Athletic Activities You Can Find in Myrtle Beach
Some people go to the beach to relax, some go to enjoy the views, and then there are some who go because there’s really no better place to exercise than on the beach. What makes Myrtle Beach, South Carolina so different than any other beach is its athletic atmosphere. Myrtle Beach is home to some of the best activies for athletes and adventure seekers, giving families with kids something to do, as well. Here are few complexes and active things to do around Myrtle Beach if you want to do a little more than simply relax.
X Gym Sports Mall
The X Gym Sports Mall in Myrtle Beach is the largest gym complex in the area. Whether it’s cardio you want or maybe a quick Tennis match, the X Gym Sports Mall really has it all. The gym has two full basketball courts, two indoor soccer fields, hockey, batting cages for baseball and softball, ping pong, tennis courts, and indoor turf fields for football, dodge ball and lacrosse. The gym also provides fitness classes and there are business throughout the sports mall, as well.
Rockin’ Jump Ultimate Trampoline Park
A family-themed trampoline park is set to open along the Grand Strand by late Spring. While it doesn’t exist yet, just this past Monday, officials in the area began discussing the possibility of an active trampoline park in Myrtle Beach. It will take the space of an old Office Depot location. The 23,000 square foot arena will consist of an open jumping arena, two trampoline dodge ball courts, a slam dunk zone, a stunt bag area, rock climbing walls, and a play area for children under 5 years. The new trampoline park set to open will be the second one in the Myrtle Beach area.
Myrtle Beach Sports Center
Similar to the X Gym Sports Mall, the Myrtle Beach Sports Center is known for its extensive list of indoor sports. The 100,000 square foot sports center is also a venue for trade shows, conventions, and tournaments. The sports center is only steps away from local dining and shopping on the Grand Strand. There are always plenty of events going on at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center, inluding birthday parties, invitationals, and regional tournaments.
