Start (Cleveland):

The "Dawg Pound"

The “Dawg Pound”

Begin the trip on the shores of Lake Erie with a baseball game at Progressive Field to watch manager Terry Francona and the Indians battle for the AL Central Division Championship. If your lucky you might get to help bang one of the outfield drums in an

attempt to psych out an opposing pitcher.

The next day scoot on down to FirstEnergy Stadium and join the “Dawg Pound” in watching the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. By next fall who knows, you might be able to watch Johnny Football throw a touchdown…or an interception.

If you haven’t gotten sick of Cleveland yet, check out an early season Cavaliers game at Quicken Loans Arena. Maybe LeBron will be there too. Continue reading “Ohio Sports Vacation” »

This was a real problem especially for lower class, less educated, talented teenagers. They were paying for an education where they weren’t learning as much as they ought and not being paid for their athletic abilities.
